Wilma Owen

Mrs. Wilma Owen of 142 Grove Park Circle, Danville, passed away Monday, April 6, 2015 at the age of 98. She was born on November 13, 1916 to the late Lee and Pearl Queen Hoyle. She was married to Monroe T. Owen who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her daughter and three brothers and two sisters. Wilma is survived by her son Duane G. Owen and wife Mary Alice, of Chatham, VA. She is also survived by a close friend and sister in law, Ann Owen and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at Mountain View Cemetery on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Bruce Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends at Townes Funeral Home on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers make a donation to the Danville Life Saving Crew, 202 Christopher Lane, Danville, VA 24541 or God's Pit Crew, 2499 North Main Street, Danville, VA 24540.
