Mr. Willis James Duncan, age 90 of Dawsonville, GA, died Saturday, May 21, 2016 at his residence under Hospice care and with his family by his side. He was born in High Point, NC on January 6, 1926, a son of the late Herman Duncan and Tallie Duncan. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was retired from Dan River Mills before relocating to Woodstock Ga. in 1996. Mr. Duncan’s wife, Gladys Marie Stallings Duncan preceded him in death on April 28, 2002. He is survived by his step-daughter Patricia Keller and her husband Karl Keller. Three Grandchildren, Pamela D. Weishaar of Tampa Fl., Donald E. Keller of Powder Springs, Ga., and Kathryn D. Bernard of Cumming, Ga.. Eight Great-grandchildren, Chelsey Hylton, Michael Weishaar, Bryan Weishaar, Alyson Keller, Matthew Keller, Alyssa Kline, Taylor Kline and Mason Bernard. He is also survived by a special friend Mildred McCullock of Hurt, Va. The Keller family extends a special thanks to Heartlite Hospice Care of Jasper, GA. We were all blessed to have had him in our lives and it’s with a heavy heart we say Good-Bye. Graveside services will be conducted 4:00 P.M. on Saturday July 16, 2016 at Schoolfield Cemetery with the Reverend David Turbyfill officiating. Townes Funeral Home and Crematory, 215 West Main Street is assisting the Duncan family.
