William (Billy) Turner King, 87, of Providence, NC passed away at Beacon Place on Wednesday, August 1, 2018. He was born on December 3, 1930 in Oak City, NC to the late Emmett G. King and Lynette Arnold. He was a USAF Veteran, retired from USDA as a circuit supervisor, member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church, and former member of Tuscarora Country Club where he enjoyed golfing. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Brooks Arnold, and loving wife, Lois King. His is survived by his daughters Lisa Moore and husband James, and Sandra Genevicz; a sister Joan A. Willis; special brother-in law and sister-in-law Willard and Virginia Dix; grandchildren Abby McKinney and husband Ivan, Michelle Gibson and husband Randy, Joshua Duncan and wife Elisabeth, Evan Watlington, and James Moore Jr. and wife Gina; great-grandchildren Wyatt, Madelyn, Cash, Greyson, Sawyer, Paisley, and Karson McKinney, Katlyn Gibson, Kaleb and Nicholas Evans, Emma Watlington, Lily Paige and Fallon Moore. The family will receive friends at Shady Grove United Methodist Church, Sunday, August 5, 2018 from 2 to 3 PM with services following at 3 PM. Burial will be in the church cemetery with a reception in the church fellowship hall following the burial. At other times the family will be at the home of Lisa Moore.
