William Haraway

William David “Bill” Haraway, 66, passed away Monday, January 21, 2019 in Gulfport, Mississippi.    He was born on November 7, 1952 in Danville, Va. a son of Basil C. Haraway, Jr. and the late Mary Lou Frizzell Haraway.    Bill was a 1971 graduate of GWHS and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War Era.    He was a sales representative for several auto dealerships and was formerly associated with Eanes and Wyatt Auto Sales when he resided in Danville. He was an avid golfer and loved to fish.    Bill is survived by his father, B. C “Bud” Haraway, Jr. and his wife Lynda of Oak Island, NC; and a brother, Douglas C. Haraway and his wife Sharon of Saint Cloud, Fla.    Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 1:30 pm. at Townes Memorial Chapel with the Reverend John Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Burial Park.   The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 12:30 to 1:30 pm.
