Thomas Glenn Harrison passed away on June 2, 2024, in Danville, Va.
He was born in Payson City, Utah on September 22, 1943, and was predeceased by his parents, Bert Glen Harrison and Mary Elaine Wilkinson Harrison, and by his wife, Mary Ellen Hickey Harrison.
He is survived by his children, Thomas and Amy Harrison of Louisville, Ky., Kathleen Harrison and Rudy Bautista of New Orleans, La., Michael and Nicole Harrison of Ashburn, Va.; and grandchildren, Daniel Harrison, Luke Harrison, and Andrew Harrison of Louisville, Ky., Angeli Bautista and Elaine Bautista of New Orleans, La., Gavin Harrison, Jack Harrison, and Kaija Harrison of Ashburn, Va. Also surviving are his brother Pat and Sue Harrison of Taylorsville, Utah; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Tom grew up in Redondo Beach, California, was a proud graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy (class of 1967), and served in the Navy during 1967-1971. He enjoyed a career of over 25 years with Corning Glass Works in Harrodsburg, Ky. and Danville, Va., before retiring. He was a dedicated husband and father. He enjoyed woodworking, the outdoors, boating and hiking, spending time at camp in the Adirondacks, sing-a-longs, and most of all, gatherings with friends and family.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 10, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Father Anthony Senyah officiating. Inurnment will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens.
