Tamara (Tammy) Faith Adams Evans, 64, of Danville passed away peacefully on Thursday January 11, 2024 after a long-term illness.
Tammy was born on June 26, 1959, in Akron, Ohio and moved to Danville, Virginia with her family in 1969. She attended Sutherland Academy and George Washington High School. As an adult, she made an impact in many children’s lives as the After School Teacher at Sacred Heart School for many years. She loved the children and they all loved her back. She will be remembered for her kind spirit and her gentle heart and will be missed by many.
She is survived by her daughter, Heather Conner of Danville, and her brother, Jack H. Adams II of Roxboro, NC.
She is predeceased by her parents, Jack and Donna Adams, and her sisters, Starlene Tomer and Darlene Mort.
Visitation will be held 1:00pm Tuesday January 16 at The Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Danville followed by services and Mass at 2:00pm. The burial will be at Highland Burial Park in Danville immediately following the Mass services by Father Anthony Senyah.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sacred Heart Catholic School.
