Mr. Stuart Seldon Adams, Jr., age 58, of South Chesterfield, VA died on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Bon Secours Community Hospice House in Richmond after a decline in health for the past six months. He was born in Danville on March 15, 1960, a son of the late Stuart Seldon Adams, Sr. and Nancy Ellen Foster Adams. Stuart worked at Shoney’s in Richmond and retired from Buford Road Pharmacy after 23 years of employment with a huge celebration. He received his vocational training at Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center in Fishersville, VA. Stuart was a member of Bethany Christian Church in Richmond and especially enjoyed preparing meals with the men’s group. Being a staunch Dallas Cowboys fan, his most prized possession was a football signed by Tom Landry. He also was well traveled and enjoyed puzzles. Stuart was involved with People First and a longtime participant with Special Olympics. He was called upon to assist in fund raising with Buford Road Pharmacy and was able to raise over $50,000 in donation money to the Special Olympics. He is survived by his cousins; Gail F. Stilwell of Yanceyville, NC, Amy F. Patton of Lynchburg, H. Allen Furgurson of Arapahoe, NC and J. Page Foster of Melbourne, FL. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. from the graveside at Highland Burial Park with Dr. Wayne Patton officiating. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Bethany Christian Church in Richmond.
