Shirley Myers

Shirley Henley Myers, 91, of Danville, widow of Daniel Martin Myers, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019.     Born on September 21, 1927 in Bristol, TN, she was a daughter of the late Fred N. Henley and Mae Smith Henley.     Shirley was a charter member of Trinity United Methodist Church as well as a member of the 50 Year Club and Trinity Circle.     She is survived by her four children, Michael L. Myers, and wife, Jeannette, Steven M. Myers, Russell H. Myers, and wife, Edie, and Dayna M. Mauer, and husband, Kelly; five grandchildren, Jason Cox, Michael Myers, II, David Myers, and wife, Jenn, John Myers, and wife, Carol, and Kevin Myers; and two great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Sydney Myers.     In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was preceded in death by her siblings, Dr. W. R. Henley, Robert Henley, and Alene Smith.     A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Townes Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Townes Memorial Chapel.
