Sean Michael Gildea

Sean Michael Gildea, 61, passed away at home on December 28, 2024. He was born to the late Dennis and Sandra Gildea on September 16, 1963.

Sean was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps 1981 - 1991. He served in Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War and Desert Storm. He retired with the rank of Sergeant. Sean attended several Marine Balls. Once a Marine, always a Marine. He worked for John W. Daniel & Co., Inc. as construction estimator, Goodyear Tire and Rubber and presently for The City of Danville Public Works. He enjoyed traveling and cruise vacations with his wife and special friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, brother Darin Gildea and stepfather Michael Sapp.

Sean is survived by his wife Deby Scarce Gildea, brother Tim Gildea and brother-in-law Michael Scarce.

A memorial service will be held Saturday January 4, 2025 2:00pm at Townes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends an hour before the memorial service.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Danville Humane Society.
