Sally LaDage Scarce, age 64, of Danville, VA, died on Wednesday, March 2, 2016. Born June 13, 1951, in Bethesda, MD, she was the daughter of Zenobia Anderson LaDage and the late Beverly Walter LaDage. She spent most of her childhood in Wilmington, DE. She was a graduate of Old Dominion University (Norfolk, VA) and was an elementary school teacher in Chesapeake, VA, for 5 years; for Danville Public Schools for 19 years; and for Sacred Heart School for 13 years. Sally is survived by her husband, Michael C. Scarce, and three children: Kristen L. Scarce and Matthew S. Scarce, both of Danville, VA, and Delana P. Lott of Wichita Falls, TX. She is also survived by three sisters: Marcia L. Wimer and her husband, Ralph, of Georgetown, TX; Joyce L. Lashbrook of Port Huron, MI; Becky L. Alexander and her husband, Jim, of Chesapeake, VA; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 1 PM at Townes Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Danville Cancer Association or to the Danville Humane Society. Townes Funeral Home and Crematory, 215 West Main Street, is serving the Scarce family.
