Rodger Isom

Rodger Dale Isom, 74 of Danville, Virginia passed away on October 23, 2021 of a brief illness. He was born January 30, 1947 in Danville to James Frederick Isom and Nancy Isom Owen who both predeceased him. Rodger also was predeceased by his younger brother, James Ricky Isom. Rodger joined the United States Marine Corp in 1964 and upon returning to Danville began a 34 year career at Corning Glass Works. After retiring in 2002, Rodger dedicated his time to family, especially his two grandsons Rodger is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Margie, son Rodger Isom II (Kim Isom),and grandsons, Trey Isom (Jen Isom) and Benjamin Isom (Allison Lee). A visitation will be held at Townes Funeral Home, Sunday November 7th, 2021 from 2:00-3:30pm. A brief service will follow led by Dr. Henry (Hank) Meadows. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Rodger’s honor to God’s Storehouse in Danville Virginia.
