Roberta Brown

Roberta “Birdie” Brown, 96, passed away on June 21 with friends and family by her side. She was the daughter of the late H. Emerson and Viola B. Young. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Raymond O. Brown and her son, Ronald W. Phillips. Also, four brothers and two sisters. Surviving to cherish her memory are sisters Clara Y. Durham and Barbara Y. Burn both of Danville, and a large extended family of nieces and nephews. There will be a graveside service at Highland Burial Park, Friday June 28, at 11 AM with Reverend Susan Hannah of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church officiating.  In lieu of flowers, family request donations, be made to St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, Habitat building Fund, 3090 N. Main St., Danville, 24540.
