Robert Reed

Robert Calvin Reed, Jr. “Robbie” of 144 Virginia Avenue passed away November 23, 2021 at his residence. Born May 5, 1967 he was the son of Robert Calvin Sr and Lois Reed. He is predeceased by his loving parents. He is survived by his cousin Teresa Autry and the family’s special friend Peyton Turner. Robbie graduated from George Washington High School, went on to graduate from Danville Community College then graduated from Averett University. Robbie was a dedicated worker of 25 years at Barkhouser Ford which is now known as Apple Ford of Danville Virginia. Robbie’s two passions of life were working as a pit crew member for the Myers’s racing team and riding his Harley when able. A memorial service will be held December 8, 2021 2:00PM at Townes Memorial Chapel with Reverend David Turbyfill officiating, Pastor of Schoolfield Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at Townes Funeral Home before the service from 1:00 to 2:00PM. Townes Funeral Home and Crematory, 215 West Main Street, is serving the Reed family.
