Robert Moore

Robert Martin “Bobby” Moore of 512 Foster Road died at his residence Monday, May 6, 2019.                He was born on November 1, 1937 in Danville, son of the late Ernest Lloyd Moore and Ruth Walton Moore.                Retired from Rush Wholesale Company after fifty years of service as a salesman.                Beside his parents he was predeceased by a son, Chris "Cmoore" Moore and two sisters, Mildred Brown and Betty Lou Moore.                Mr. Moore is survived by his wife of the home, Jean Dalton Moore and two sons, Samuel “Sam” Moore and Donald Moore both of Danville.  Also surviving are two grandchildren, Tammy Burgoa and Casey Moore and three great-grandchildren.                A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Danville Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Clark Crowder officiating.                The family will receive friends at the residence.                Memorials may be directed to Commonwealth Hospice, 159 Executive Drive, Suite H,  Danville,  VA  24540.                Townes Funeral Home and Crematory, 215 West Main Street is serving the Moore family.  Online condolences may be directed to www.townesfuneralhome.com.
