Ritchie Hutson

Ritchie Steven Hutson, formally of Danville, VA, passed away peacefully in Norfolk, VA on Tuesday, May 7th, 2019. His long, hard-fought battle with multiple debilitating illnesses has come to an end. Before his illness impaired his ability to play, Ritchie was a phenomenally gifted drummer. He played in numerous bands in the Danville and Hampton Roads area. Ritchie was as an avid reader of the Bible, and is now resting in the presence of his Lord and Savior. He is survived by his parents, Herman and Nancy Hutson of Danville and his brothers Tim Hutson and his wife Linda of Richmond and Jeff Hutson and his wife Ellen of Norfolk. He is also survived by a niece, Kristy Hutson Coleman and two nephews, Craig Hutson and Joshua Hutson. Ritchie will be laid to rest in a private graveside service. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Funding.
