Ricardo Riano

Ricardo Riano of Danville, passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021. Ricardo was born in Colombia, South America on December 16. 1942, a son of the late Eliecer and Soledad Moreno de Riano. He served his country of Colombia as a Special Forces soldier. He retired from Danville Regional Medical Center after 30 years, where he was employed as a histotechnologist. He was a contractor by trade, who loved to work on many different projects. Ricardo loved to travel and experience all the many types of cuisines. He enjoyed cycling and riding the numerous trails. He loved and supported the local Hispanic community. He was an avid soccer fan and even had a short professional career while still in Colombia. Above all these, his greatest love was his family and he enjoyed every moment spent with them. Ricardo is survived by his wife, Karen P. Riano; two sons, Richard Riano, and wife, Sherry and Michael Riano; four grandchildren, Aiden and Maximus Riano and Albert and Jordan; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Gloria Riano and Julia Velasquez; one brother, Gonzalo Riano and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on December 4, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Townes Funeral Home.
