Reuben Burton Williams, 96, passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by family on March 22, 2024 after a short decline in health. Reuben was born July 16, 1927, to the late Rosa and Fosco Williams. Reuben was the owner, operator, and class A plumber of R. B. Williams Plumbing INC for over 65 years. He also shared a passion for gardening and the outdoors. If you knew him you would know mowing grass was his favorite thing to do. Reuben carried a great dependable reputation along with always being involved and loving his family!
Reuben is predeceased by his first wife Helen Williams, sisters Gladys Smith, Christine Wheeler, Bethel Wright, Katherine McKinney, brother Elmo Williams, and stepdaughter Sylvia South.(Ralph)
Reuben is survived by his wife Joanne Williams, daughter Teresa Hedrick (Kenny), stepson Garnett Johnson (Joyce), sister Frances "Elaine" Martin, grandchildren; Melissa Ketchum, CJ Hedrick (Charmine), Kelly South, Peyton South, Jeff Johnson, Sherrie Jones (Mark). Also, he is survived by eight great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Friday March 29, 2024, 11:00am at Townes Memorial Chapel officiated by Sandy Wright. The family will receive friends from 10:00am to 11:00am prior to the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers donations in Reuben’s name may be made to the Blairs Volunteer Fire Department.
