Mr. Ray Maynard Ferguson, 86, died June 7, 2018 following a decline in health for several years. He was predeceased by his parents, Acie and Eva Ferguson of Sutherlin, his sister Thelma Cassada, and her husband, Vernell. He is survived by his sister, Ruth Scearce and husband Bobby. Also surviving are two nieces and a nephew, Sharon Cassada, Kathy Adkins (David) and George Frankos (Trisha). “Uncle Mayn” as he was affectionally known spent many hours entertaining his nieces and nephew when they were growing up. He is also survived by two great-nephews, Justin and Ryan Barker, and two great-nieces, Tasha Frankos and Ashley Musculus (Quinn) and two great-great nieces, Sabrina and Aleigha Musculus. Maynard was a farmer with his dad for many years. Later he worked for Thalhimers and retired from Macys. He was an avid reader and loved history. He enjoyed teaching Sunday School at Rock Springs United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be at Townes Memorial Chapel on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at 2 pm. Conducted by Duane Caldwell and Ryan Ware. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Highland Burial Park. At other times the family will be at his sister’s residence, 4393 Ringgold Church Road, Ringgold.
