Pauline Fitts

Pauline Parris Fitts, 97, from New Castle, Pa and Danville, VA passed away in the early morning, May 8, 2018, at the Riverside Health & Rehabilitation Center.        She was born September 4, 1920, in Kannapolis, North Carolina. She was the oldest daughter of the late William Belton Parris and Ada Lemmons Parris. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Philip L. Fitts, and her younger sister, Virginia “Sis” Martin. She graduated from Averett College and enjoyed her family most of all.    Polly is survived by her children, Pat Pinckney and husband, Roy, of Danville, and son, William P. Fitts and wife, Pamela, of New Castle, Pa: and grandchildren, Sean Pinckney, Jennifer Hernandez of Danville, and Brittney A. Fitts of Williamsburg, Va. And William M. Fitts of New Castle, Pa along with five great grandchildren.    Funeral services will be held at Townes Memorial Chapel, on Thurdsay, May 10 at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Highland Burial Park.    The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM, Thursday, before the funeral at Townes Funeral Home.    Memorial contributions can be made to the Danville Life Saving Crew.
