Pauline Suit Brumfield, age 98 of 409 Wimbish Drive died on Friday, May 13, 2016 at the residence. She was born in Altavista on September 2, 1917, a daughter of the late James Garland Suit and Martha Williamson Suit. Pauline was retired from Dan River Mills having worked in the spinning room for many years. She was a member of Stokesland Baptist Church for over fifty years. Besides her parents she was predeceased by a daughter, Dorothy A. Nickolas, sisters and brothers; Ruby Terrell, Nell Hunt , Helen Sizer and Russell Suit. Pauline is survived by a daughter; Shirley A. Franklin and her husband Eugene, brother, James H. Suit and his wife Joanne of Leesburg, sister, Florence S. Yeatts of Danville. Also surviving are four grandchildren; Jeff Franklin and his wife Theresa of High Point, NC, Lisa Franklin and her husband Leslie Baker of Chester, VA, Jason Franklin of Danville and Kelly Wells and her husband Donnie of Danville, two great-grandchildren; Justin Franklin of High Point, NC and Mike Franklin of Kernersville, NC, one great-great-granddaughter, Courtney Franklin of Kernersville, NC. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. from the graveside at Highland Burial Park with the Reverend Denver Shackelford officiating. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the Danville Fire Department, Danville Police Department and the Danville Life Saving and First Aid Crew for their services. The family will receive friends at the residence of her daughter Shirley A. Franklin and her husband Eugene at 409 Wimbish Drive.
