Patsy Everett

December 31, 1969 — August 1, 2021

Patsy Ann Cook Everett, age 63 of 4735 Walters Mill Rd in Providence, NC died on Friday, January 8, 2021 after a short decline in health following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Danville, VA, Patsy is the daughter of the late Dewey and Edna Garrett Cook. Over the past few years, Patsy has enjoyed retirement after 23 years of service with the Caswell County School System. At any given time, she could be found enjoying meals with her family, driving tractors, mowing lawns, painting anything that stood still, pulling slots, or spoiling her granddaughter and granddogs. Patsy was the life of the gathering and a firecracker by all who knew her. Her spunk brought much laughter and her drive for life made you want to work harder. She was a lifelong member of Providence Baptist Church and most recently attended Union Church. She was also a dedicated Ladies Auxiliary member of Providence Fire & Rescue and the designated Banana Pudding Baker! In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Robert “Bob” Everett and a sister-in-law, Linda Cook. Surviving are her son Kenneth Everett, daughter-in-law Amanda, and granddaughter Emma Thornton; a sister, Reva Pruitt and husband, Jimmy; two brothers, Wayne Cook and Larry Cook, and wife, Pam. Patsy was blessed with many nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces, as well as cousins and friends. A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 11, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Providence Baptist Church with Pastor Adam Cook and Pastor Rocky Ashby officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Providence Fire & Rescue, PO Box 93, Providence, NC 27315.
