Opal Walker Foster, age 82 of 2015 Park Springs Road, Providence, NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior February, 24th, 2020 at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro, NC. She was born on July 16, 1937 in Danville, a daughter of Virginia Ingram Rudder and Howard Walker and the step-daughter of Marshall Rudder, all of whom are predeceased. She is also predeceased by her husband Carlton F. Foster, a daughter Pamela Darlene Foster, two brothers Garnett Walker, and Gary Walker, and one sister, Dorothy Player. Opal is survived by a daughter, Patricia Arlene Foster of Providence, NC, one grandson, Patrick Carlton Foster and fiancé (Melinda), a step-sister, Brenda Brooks (Ronald) of Danville, two sister-in-law’s, Emilia Walker of Coppell, TX and Susan Boggs Bradley (Gil) of Pelham, NC, brother-in-law, Larry Foster, Danville, a special family friend Stuart Watlington of Yanceyville, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. Also, her furry companions Buddy, Kali, Max, and Roxy. Opal was such a thoughtful, sweet and creative person. To know her was to love her. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother that will be deeply missed by her family and friends. We will see you again dear Opal. There will be a celebration of Opal’s life on March 28th at 1:00 P.M. at the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in Danville, 115 Jefferson Avenue by the Reverend Jon Anderson. Opal was a supporter of Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and any Animal Rescue Center. If you wish to make a donation in her name, it will be greatly appreciated.
