Nellie (Nell) Talley died peacefully in sleep March 6th at 11:30a. She was in hospice care at Kolob Care and Rehabilitation in St.George, Utah. At the time of her passing, her son Ken Talley was by her side. She had been in declining health for the past 6 months. She was a resident of Danville for most of her life and worked at Dan River in the sewing room and later worked at the outlet stores meeting many people and making many friends. She was a member of Stokesland Methodist Church and choir member. Her commitment to her faith was unwavering and never waned. Throughout her 96 years she was able to touch lives and inspire others and will be remembered by many. Surviving are sisters Ms Marilyn Lowe and Ms Elma Michaels of Greensboro, N.C. Her son, Ken Talley of St. George, Utah, two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 11th at 11:00 AM at Townes Memorial Chapel. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Danville Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Townes Funeral Home.
