Nancy Crane

Nancy Carolyn Crane of Hampton, Virginia passed away on March 13, 2022. She was born August 11, 1942, to the late Joseph (Jimmy) Elton Crane and the late Doris Allen Crane Benazzi. She was preceded in death by her sister Linda Gayle C. Kaplan, stepfather Tony Benazzi, Jr., and nephew Joshua Redd. She is survived by her sister Susan B. Redd of Lilburn, Georgia, her brother-in-law Micah Kaplan of Southold, New York, her special Aunt Mary Lou Giles of Poquoson, Virginia, her two nephews Isaac Kaplan and Jacob Redd, and her niece Leah Malone, plus three great nieces, a great nephew, and several cousins. She worked and retired in 2003 from the Virginia Marine Resources Commission in Hampton, Virginia. Her life was surrounded by cats. Not cat was turned away from her home. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday March 15, 2022 2:00pm at Highland Burial Park. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the ASPCA or the Humane Society.
