Nancy Foster Adams, 89, of Richmond, Va, died Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Brandermill Woods Retirement Home, Richmond, Va., after a decline in health of two months. Born March 10, 1924, in Danville, Va., she was the daughter of William Berkley Foster and Elnora Booker Foster. She was married to Stuart Selden Adams, who died in April, 1993. A former member of West End Christian Church in Danville, and Euclid Christian Church in Lynchburg, she was a faithful member of Bethany Christian Church in Richmond. Mrs. Adams was a graduate of George Washington High School in Danville and enjoyed playing bridge and volunteering at Tomahawk Baptist Church in Richmond. She is survived by a son, Stuart S. Adams, Jr., of Richmond, special nieces, Gail Stilwell and Amy Patton, of Caswell County, and special nephews, Allen Furgurson of Danville and Page Foster of Melbourne, Fla. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by an infant daughter, Nancy Carolyn Adams, three brothers, Howard Foster, Julian Foster and John Foster, and two sisters, Elizabeth Finnell and Sarah Furgurson. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at 11:00 A.M., in Highland Burial Park.
