Miriam Carreras passed away on Thursday, November 9th 2017 at home with family. She was born on June 20th 1919 to the late Ulysses Robinson and Ella Forbes. Miriam lived most of her life in New York and Norfolk, VA. She retired from DePaul Hospital in Norfolk before moving to Danville. She was an avid reader, loved music, dancing, and spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She is survived by her children Louis Carreras and Joyce Davis. Grandchildren; Leslie and Glenn Davis, Dorothy, Louis, Meredith, and Nicholas Carreras. Great-Grandchildren; Mary Catherine Craft, Shannon Davis, Davis Rand, Stephanie Roberts. Great-Great-Grandchildren; David and Leslie Caroline Roberts. She is also predeceased by her husband Nicholas Carreras. A memorial service will be held Monday, November 13th at 11:00am at Townes Memorial Chapel with Reverend Darryl Joyce officiating.
