Mary Sue Hall Lambert was called home by her Heavenly Father early Wednesday morning, October 19, 2016 in Danville, VA. She was born on April 8, 1928 in Mt. Airy, NC to Pearl and Joe Hall, who predeceased her. Sue married the love of her life, Harry Lambert, on September 14, 1946 and they were married for 56 years until the time of his death in 2002. They lived in numerous countries and settled in Summerville, SC. She is survived by one son, David Lambert (Penny) and one daughter, Patricia Hudson (Hubert), four grandchildren: Hubie (Genny) and Danny Hudson, Pamala Golden (Chris) and Matthew Lambert (Jana); six great-grandchildren: Kristen and Bryan Hudson, McKenzie and Gabriel Golden, and Bratcher and Hallee Lambert. She is also survived by her family: Nancy Willoughby, Anne Ring (Bill), Hortense Hall, Donald (Mary Anne) and David (Rose) Hall, and special friend, Gladys Carlton, along with a number of special nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her siblings: Peggy, Norris, Jack, and J.H. Hall. A celebration of her life will be held with graveside services on Sunday, October 23, 2016 by Reverend Joel Waddell at Skyline Memory Gardens in Mt. Airy, NC at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to a charity of one’s choice. Townes Funeral Home and Crematory, 215 West Main Street is serving the Lambert family.
