Mark Light

Mark Anthony Light, 57, of Danville, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022. Born on December 18, 1964, he was a son of Albert Andrew Light and the late Birdie Mae Owens Light. Mark loved working with his hands and he was proud to call himself a precision machinist. He loved finding out information about cars by dissecting them and putting them back together. Above all of that, he loved being Grandpa to his grandkids and spending as much time with them as he could. In addition to his father, Albert, and his wife, Anita, Mark is survived by his three daughters, Amanda Williams, and her husband, Lynn, Kristen Gonzalez, and her husband, Kevin, and Moriah Light; four grandchildren, Arsenal, Kimber, Benelli, and Daisy Williams; and his significant other, Linda Zellers. In addition to his mother, Mark was preceded in death by a son and two brothers, David and Michael Light. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. at the home of his daughter, Amanda Williams, 343 Cumberland Drive, Danville, VA 24541. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Flowers may be sent to her residence as well.
