Marjorie Louise Gauthier, 75, of 31 Harper Lane, Blairs, VA, went to her Heavenly Home on Sunday, May 21, 2023, after a brief decline in health.
Mrs. Gauthier was born on May 28, 1947, in Pensacola, FL, a daughter of the late James Howard Paulsen and the late Marjorie Louise Durant Paulsen. She spent part of her life in New Orleans, moving there to be with her husband in 1984. They then relocated to the Danville area in 2003. She was a teacher at Sacred Heart, retiring on June 1, 2012. She was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling with her husband, visiting all 49 states including Alaska and parts of Canada.
On April 20, 1985, she married Donald Gauthier, who survives of the residence.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Patricia Dunn (William), James, and Joseph; three step-daughters, Donna Gauthier, Kathleen Lightfoot, and Arlene Gauthier; one grandson, two step-grandchildren; a brother, James Paulsen; and one niece and nephew, Jennifer and Mathew and son in law William Dunn
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Suzanne Manness.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 11 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 AM to 11 AM. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery, Pensacola, Fl, at a later date.
