Louis Mark dePaulo, Sr. passed away most fittingly on Veteran's Day, November 11, 2013, in the Year of Our Lord from natural causes having attained the age of ninety-three. He, like so many of his generation, was a veteran of World War II. He served in the U. S. Navy, and was present at the Normandy Invasion at a place known as Pointe du Hoc. Louis was a 1950 graduate of The College of William and Mary with a B. S. in Business Management, and served in the Norfolk Naval Base Naval Exchange Uniform Shop, and later with NAVRESSO until his retirement in 1985. Boppa, is survived by his wife Mary Emily, of Norfolk, VA and their sons and families which include L. Mark, Jr., his wife, Jayne, daughter Morgan and Mark's step-son Perry. Richard Anthony dePaulo and wife Tina, their children Stephanie and Justin of Chesapeake, VA. Stephen Charles dePaulo and wife Donnah of Virginia Beach, VA. Boppa was born January 30, 1920 in Norfolk, VA to the late Joseph and Doralice Adamoli Lipoli. He enjoyed a family of one brother and four sisters. Survivors include the wife of his brother, Catherine Riganto Lipoli and his sister, Josephine Lipoli Phipps, as well as fourteen nieces and nephews. A celebration of Boppa's life is planned for Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, on Main Street, Chatham. Family and friends will be welcome for visitation one hour prior to the memorial service in Emmanuel's parish hall. A service in Norfolk will be held at an undecided late date. All three sons are Eagle Scouts as Boppa was very active in the Boy Scouts of America and the Hunter Safety Program in Virginia.
