Lottie Belle Starr Motley, age 81, formerly of 418 Kemper Road, Danville, died Thursday, March 14, 2013 in Meridian, Idaho after a decline in health of several years. Born June 12, 1931 in Pittsylvania County, she was the daughter of John Silas Starr and Tessie Pearl Simpson Starr. Ms. Motley was predeceased by her husband, Douglas Lee Motley; brothers Arthur and Daniel Starr, and grandson Jared Motley. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a graduate of George Washington High School. She retired from the United States Postal Service in 1988. Mrs. Motley's greatest joys in life were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her family will be forever thankful for her unconditional love and never-failing support. She is survived by her son John Steven "Steve" Motley and wife Teresa C. Motley, of Meridian, Idaho; daughter Teresa R. Motley of Henderson, Nevada; grandchildren JD Motley, Rachel Motley, Virginia Motley, and Charlotte Motley, Jessaca White, Rebecca Arnold, Matilda Arnold, and Eva Arnold; and four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Townes Funeral Home, 215 West Main Street, from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20. Funeral Services will be conducted at the Danville Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3058 North Main Street , at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 21, by Bishop Ray Mullins. Burial will follow at the Mountain View Cemetery.
