Lorena Jennings Pattisall, age 95 died, Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center after a decline in health. Mrs. Pattisall was born in Pittsylvania County, VA on June 7, 1917, a daughter of the late Charlie B. Jennings and Bessie Haley Jennings. Mrs. Pattisall was married to the late Walter H. Pattisall, Sr. who died in l981. She and her husband operated Pattisall's Drug Store in five forks for many years. Mrs. Pattisall was a former member of Main Street United Methodist Church. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by a son, Walter H. Pattisall, Jr., son-in-law, James E. Bass, Sr. and brothers and sisters; Lilly Smith, Mary Chandler, Ann Constant, Robert Jennings, Charlie Jennings, Sammy Jennings, John Jennings, Walter Jennings and Henry Jennings. Mrs. Pattisall is survived by her daughter, Sara P. Bass of Ringgold, grandchildren, Paul Bass and his wife Annette of Ringgold and James Bass, Jr. and his wife Diane of Ringgold. She is also survived by great-grandsons; James Bass III and Joshua Bass both of Ringgold, great-granddaughter, Nicole Wills and her husband Mark, great-great-grandsons Marcus and Nicholas Wills all of Keeling, a special great-niece, Stefanie Barrington and a special great-nephew, Russell B. Tyree all of Danville. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. from the graveside at Highland Burial Park with the Reverend David Abernathy officiating. The family will receive friends at Townes Funeral Home on Friday, March 15, 2013 from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Townes Funeral Home and Crematory, 215 West Main Street is serving the Pattisall family.
