Lewis Colman Nichols is survived by his soulmate of 62 years Jackie Nichols, a daughter Belinda Nichols Worsham and husband J.B. Worsham of Danville and a grandson Jesse Worsham and fiance Mollie Hall of Danville. A sister Peggy Gibson of Danville and two sister-n-laws Rachel Sigmon and Lenora Robertson and numerous nieces and nephews.. He is predeceased by a brother Guy Nichols and a sister Margaret Apple. Lewis proudly served his country during the Korean War On the USS Saipan CVL 48 as a 1st Class Petty Officer from May 1950 to November 1957. He worked at Dan River Mills for 22 years as a Supervisor and Retired from Miller Brewing Co. His passion was woodworking making beautiful clocks and bowls and other wood projects.
