Laurens Waymouth

Mr. Laurens Samuel Waymouth, age 83, of 149 Brook Circle died at his residence on Saturday, October 27, 2018 after a decline in health.   Mr. Waymouth was born on January 20, 1935 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, a son of the late John Francis Waymouth and Margaret Postell Waymouth.   A veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the United States Air Force.  Mr. Waymouth was an airline pilot for many years before his retirement.   He is survived by his wife; Pamela Frances Jackson Waymouth, his former wife, Shirley L. Waymouth of Signal Mountain, TN, his sons; Laurens Samuel Waymouth (Priscilla) of Clover, SC, Robert Mebane Waymouth (Winnie) of Palo Alto, CA, William Logan Waymouth (Donna) of Danville and Thomas George Waymouth (Denise) of Raleigh, NC.  Also surviving are one brother, John Frances Waymouth, Jr. of Marblehead, MA., nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.   A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.   The family request that memorials may be directed to the Danville Life Saving and First Aid Crew, Inc., 202 Christopher Lane, Danville, VA  24541.   Townes Funeral Home and Crematory, 215 West Main Street is serving the Waymouth family.  Online condolences may be directed to www.townesfuneralhome.com.
