Kaye Keesee

January 17, 1958 — June 26, 2016

Kaye Parker Keesee passed away peacefully Sunday morning, June 26, 2016 at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital after a nine month courageous battle with cancer.    She was born on January 17, 1958 in Danville, VA, the daughter of the late Herman Wray Parker and Jean King Parker of Danville.    Kaye graduated from George Washington High School, and worked as an executive secretary for Dibrell Brothers. She was an avid tennis player. She was an active member of West Main Baptist Church and was a loving wife, mother, daughter and friend. Her greatest asset was the raising of her two children whom she loved dearly.     In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 39 years, Peyton Keesee of the home; two sons, Parker Keesee of Richmond, VA and Peyton Clay Keesee of Arlington, VA; a brother, Michael Parker of Wilson, NC; a nephew, Griffin Parker; brother-in-law, Don Keesee; and a number of other relatives and numerous friends.     Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 11:00 AM at West Main Baptist Church with the Reverend Bruce Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.    The family will receive friends Monday, June 27, at Townes Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 PM and at other times at the residence 186 Howeland Circle.
