Our Mom, Kathy Parrish, received her beautiful wings on Friday, November 6th, 2015. Her strong willed nature helped her battle many health issues over the past few years. Although our father Marc Parrish and we, Matt & Hilliary, are still here, we know our Mom is forever with us. Also surviving are her mother Peggy Worley, her sister Sandra Myers and husband Frank Myers, brother-in-law Mike Parrish and wife Susan Hannah, sister-in-law Helen Parrish Hardy and husband Glen, nieces and nephews Penny Holley and husband Doug Holley, Hugh Parrish, Sara Parrish Fowler and husband Taylor, Meghan Norton Crane and husband Jordan, Jon Norton, great niece Katie and a great nephew Vincent. We know her infectious laugh is lighting up the streets of Heaven, just as it lit up our lives. It may be bias to say that she was the best Mom in the world, but in all reality she was. The life lessons she instilled in us will remain forever strong. She left a lasting impact on everyone she met and had an endless amount of love for others. However, nothing could compare to the love she had for us, our Dad, and our dog Bailey. Don't get us wrong, she worried over us and had the occasional urge to nag about something, but it was for the love she had for us. We appreciate the outpouring of love and support we have received from family and friends throughout the last few years, especially in recent days. Please find comfort in knowing Mom is reunited with her father and laughing all through Heaven. At the request of the family, memorial donations may be directed to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 3959 Electric Road #222, Roanoke, VA 25018 or to Danville Cancer Association, 223 Riverview Drive Suite 5, Danville, VA 24540.
