Later, she became a member of Moffett Memorial Baptist Church and in her last years, Kat attended Mount Olivet United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Kat was predeceased by her two sisters, Louise D. Richardson and Edith D. East. She is survived by several special nieces and nephews; Sue Bucklew (Doug) of Pittsboro, NC, Chuck Richardson (Cheryl) and Mike East of Danville, and Roger East (Len) of Richmond, VA; eight great nieces and nephews; Stephanie, Katie, and Kim Bucklew, Jennifer Davis (Tim), David Richardson, John Richardson (Jamie), and David and Ellen Hutter East; four great-great nieces and nephews whom she adored; Maddie and Emmy Davis, Lucas and Colton Richardson; and god-daughter, Lita Russell, of Chapel Hill, NC. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Mount Olivet United Methodist Church at a later time. The family would like to thank all of her family, friends, and “her children” for making her life such a wonderful and fulfilling one, as well as the staff of Roman Eagle Rehabilitation and Healthcare for her loving care and friendship.
