Raleigh, NC – Katherine Elizabeth Wickre Harvie died November 30, 2021 at her home in Raleigh. Born July 29, 1932 in Norfolk, Virginia, she was the daughter of Eric Michael Wickre and Katherine Cannon Wickre. A resident of Danville, Virginia most of her life, she was a member of the Garden Club of Danville, Shakespeare Study Club, Wednesday Club, and was founder of the Docents Guild of the Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History. In 2015, she moved to Raleigh where she was a member of All Saints Anglican Church. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Edwin James Harvie, Jr., M.D., and their children, Elizabeth Harvie Schrum and her husband Owen of Raleigh, North Carolina; and Edwin James Harvie III and his wife Tamara of Mason Neck, Virginia. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Anne Katherine Schrum; Meredith Schrum Trueblood (Wesley); Eric Lewis Schrum (Kristen); Carah Elizabeth Harvie; and Lewis Edwin Harvie. She was predeceased by her parents as well as her brother, John Lee Wickre. A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, December 3 at 11 a.m. at All Saints Anglican Church, 908 Deboy St., Raleigh, NC, followed by a graveside service at 3:30 p.m. at Mountain View Cemetery in Danville. The family will receive friends following the graveside service at Townes Funeral Home from 4:30 until 5:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to God's Pit Crew, Danville, VA, All Saints Anglican Church, Raleigh, NC, or the charity of your choice.
