Juanita Keene Coleman, 83, of Danville, VA went to be with her Lord God March 12, 2013. Born in Freeburn, Kentucky on November 29, 1929, she was the daughter of Marcom Keene, and Ernest and Lily Mae Mullins who predeceased her. She married Dan Coleman on May 23, 1951 and was married to Dan for 62 years until his death in November 2012. She is survived by six children, son Danny Coleman and wife Susan of Danville, daughter Donna Talent of Danville, son Johnnie Coleman of Danville, daughter Pam Shelton and husband Curtis of Dry Fork, daughter Selena Reynolds of Danville, daughter Ann Austin and husband Melvin of Danville; twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one sister Tressie Bowling of Danville; and one brother Ermal Mullins of Danville. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by one great-grandchild Kameron Talent; a daughter-in-law Dianne Coleman; a sister Burnice Faye Looney; and a brother Thurman Mullins. Juanita was a loving mother and referred to her children and grandchildren as her life. She was known for her selflessness, humor, and courage which she passed on to each of her children. She will be missed here on this earth, but Heaven is rejoicing in her coming home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, March 16 at Townes Memorial Chapel with the Reverend Michael Hearp, Pastor at Swansonville Pentecostal Holiness Church and the Reverend Susan Hannah, Pastor at Whitmell United Methodist Church and Saint John's United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 PM, on Friday, March 15, at Townes Funeral Home and all other times at the residence at 6012 Mt. Cross Road. Townes Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Coleman family.
