Joyce Wooldridge Warren of 219 Salisbury Circle, Danville, VA died November 1, 2015 at Roman Eagle Memorial Home after a long illness. She was married for 58 years to the late Robert Franklin Warren, Sr. Born on April 6, 1935 in Appomattox County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Robert Earl Wooldridge and Sydney Ferguson Wooldridge. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Leslie Wooldridge, Thomas B. Wooldridge and John H. Wooldridge and four sisters, Helen O. Wooldridge, Virginia W. Reynolds, Louise W. Tolley and Frances W. Wooldridge. Joyce was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she was involved in many activities over the years. She was the President of WARRCO, INC. for many years. Joyce served on the Danville School Board from 1991-1999 and was a member of The Wednesday Club. Joyce is survived by her daughter, Susan Warren Rabon and her husband, Tom of Holly Springs, NC; her son, Robert F. Warren, Jr. and his wife, Mindy of Danville, VA; and four grandchildren, John, Franklin, Preston and Reagan. She is also survived by three sisters, Letherine W. Smallwood and Catherine W. Clowdis and husband, Bud, both of Lynchburg and Doris W. Browning of Hollywood, FL, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Highland Burial Park with the Reverend Charles W. Wickham officiating.
