Jonah Stephens

Jonah Stephens Jr., 78, of Providence NC, passed peacefully on July 28, 2021 at the Durham VA Hospital. Jonah was born on June 20, 1943 in Stokes County NC to Jonah Stephens and Nora Lankford Stephens. Jonah was a US Army Veteran. He was the former owner of Electronic Service Company in Danville, VA. Jonah is survived by his Sweetheart of 37 plus years Beverly Williams, stepson Jamie Williams and wife Vicky of Pelham, NC, grandsons Cody Williams, Kyle Williams (Stephanie), Dylan Williams (Kelli), all of Pelham NC, ten great-grandchildren: Katie Geistel, Kaleb Williams, Izabel Landrum, Hunter Williams, Mariah Williams, Levi Scott, Kara Williams, Maddie Williams, Kole Williams, and Kinley Williams, nephew Tim Stephens (Judy) of Blanche NC, and one sister Della Maxine Pruitt of Danville, VA. He was also survived by many other beloved nephews, nieces, and their families. Among them, Libby Kaplan, E. Marie Kortlang, Cathy Bowling, Matthew St. Clair, and Eleanor Stephens. In addition to his parents Jonah was predeceased by his brother John Stanley Stephens of Stoneville, NC. A visitation will be held on Saturday July 31st from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm at Townes Funeral Home in Danville VA followed by a graveside service at 2:00 pm at Danville Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends and family at the residence, 2005 Seamster Road, Providence, NC.
