Jeffrey Keesee Baldwin, the son of Rosser & Wanda Baldwin, born on June 18, 1954, died at the age of 68 on July 20, 2022. Jeff leaves behind his two children, Jeffrey, and Taylor; his stepchildren, Cindy & Ricky Haley; his estranged wife, Linda Baldwin; and long-term girlfriend Robin Crumpton. He also leaves behind one brother, Joe, his wife Kaye, and lifelong friends, Toni & Jimmy Dooley. Jeff, a Danville native, graduated from Averett University with a degree in Business Management. He worked alongside both his father and business partner, Bob Warren, for many years as Vice President of RJ Baldwin Agency. Jeff was an amazing and gifted musician. Prior to settling down in the insurance business, you may remember Jeff as the long-haired, free-spirited keyboard player in the popular band, Afton. He and his band mates entertained many fans throughout the years and their music can still be enjoyed on YouTube. Jeff was a member of the German Club, Sertoma Club, Danville area Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Danville Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors and the Virginia Retirement Specialist Hall of Fame. Jeff had a passion for playing golf and enjoyed many weekends at Tuscarora Country Club. You could also find him, most any evenings laughing and talking with friends at Long River Restaurant. Friends and family are invited to honor Jeffrey Baldwin at Townes Funeral Home on Saturday, July 23rd from 6-8pm. There will also be a Celebration of Life held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to Jeff’s favorite charity, The Big Brothers/Big Sister Youth Organization.
