Jean Everett

Jean Helen Murphy Everett, 85, of 4571 Walters Mill Rd. Providence, N.C passed away on Friday, February 13, 2015 after a brief stay in Danville Regional Medical Center. She was born in Pittsylvania County, Virginia on October 24, 1929 to the late Albert Thornton Murphy and Oneida Crane Murphy. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Irvin Daniel (Bud) Everett. She is survived by her children, Daniel M. Everett (Liz Everett) of Blanch, N.C., Debbie E. Bernard of Yanceyville, N.C., R. Keith Everett (Cindi Everett) of Ruffin, N.C., N. Rachel Titus of Powder Springs, Ga., and John M. Everett (Cindy Everett) of Danville, Va.; ten grandchildren, Lucas Bernard (Alison Bernard), Matthew Everett (Amy Everett), Whitney Everett Duncan (JR Duncan), Andrew Everett, Brittany Titus, Rachel Everett, Rebecca Everett, Lucy Everett, Jordan Titus, and Hayden Everett; two great-grandchildren, Grace Duncan and Elijah Bernard. She is also survived by her sister Nancy Burnette (Charles Burnette). She retired from Danville Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse after many years of dedicated service. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the doctors, nurses and friends for their continued support. A special thank you to her caregivers, Cheryl Lucas, Queenie Womack, and Shereka Younger. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Providence Baptist Church in Providence, NC with Reverend Lee Cook officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 2 to 3 p.m. Other times the family will receive friends at the residence.
