Jean Worsham Dalton, 91, of Chatham, Va., died unto Christ on Friday, September 27, 2019 She was born on September 9, 1928 in Pittsylvania County and was the daughter of the late George Worsham and Ellen Hayden Worsham. She was a member of Chatham Baptist Church. Jean leaves a legacy of kindness, unconditional love and making her home a haven for her family. Jean is survived by two daughters, Teresa D. Easley and Carolyn D. Helms (David); two sons, David C. Dalton (Nancy) and Steven G. Dalton (Tarin); ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and a brother, Landon R. Worsham. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Carson Anderson Dalton; five sisters, Margaret Woods, Louise Shelton, Georgia Blair, Joyce Dowden, and Eunice Worsham; two brothers, Henry Clay Worsham and Tilton Worsham. Funeral services will be conducted at Chatham Baptist Church on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at 2 pm with the Reverend Dr. Charles Warnock, III and the Reverend Dr. David Helms officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Burial Park. The family will receive friends at Chatham Baptist Church on Sunday from 1:00 to 1:45 pm prior to the funeral service and at other times at the residence of her son, David Dalton, 124 Bent Creek Road, Danville.
