Jackson Fowlkes

August 13, 1953 — January 19, 2016

Jackson Lewis Fowlkes Jr passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 19, 2016, with his loving family by his side. Lewis “Louie” was owner and operator of Coachman Cleaners for many years until his son Jackson Fowlkes took over. Lewis was the son of Jackson L. Fowlkes (deceased November 26, 1966) and Ruth D Callahan (deceased February 11, 2015). Survived by his wife, Nanette Fowlkes; sons, Jackson Fowlkes and wife Heather, Seth Fowlkes and wife Erin; and daughter Hailey Fowlkes; and three precious grandchildren, Brayden, Mia, and Cole all of Danville; three sisters, Vicky Collie, Jerry Bennett both of Danville, and Beth Ressler of Naples, FL who loved him so very much. Always smiling and never without a story to tell, Lewis was quite the gregarious guy who never met a stranger. The family would like to thank the nurses, staff, and doctors of Danville Regional Medical Center who took wonderful care of him in his last days on Earth. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 25, 2015, at Townes Memorial Chapel at 2 p.m. with Pastor Scott Randlett officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m.
