Isabel "Mickey" Pruitt Collins Bonner, 88, of Brown Summit, NC, went Home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Moses Cone Hospital, Greensboro, NC. She was born on August 25, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Joe Pruitt and the late Lorena Groff Pruitt. She worked as an LPN at Danville Memorial Hospital and then for Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro, NC. After her retirement, she was called back to teach surgical technician students for Guilford Community Technical College. She was a faithful member of Hines Chapel Church where she taught Sunday School, served on the Missions Board, and also went on missions trips to Mexico and St. Louis, Missouri., and Coburn, Virginia. She never met a stranger and loved helping others. She was married to Eugene Collins, who predeceased her on July 6, 1981. She later married Anthony Bonner, who predeceased her on June 19, 2006. She is survived by three children, Randy Collins and wife Pat Collins, of Burlington, NC, Elizabeth Moore and husband Jimmy Moore, of Dry Fork, VA, and Don Collins and wife Laura Collins, of Greensboro, NC; six grandchildren, Shannon, Kevin, Carly, Leah, Greyson, and Seth; eleven great grandchildren; a brother, Albert Pruitt; five sisters, Lindola Baity, Barbara Tuggle, Lois Pleasant, Sandra Saxena, and Margie Oakley; and best friend, Sadie Carter. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was predeceased by three brothers, Johnnie Pruitt, Willard Pruitt, and Joe Pruitt; and three sisters, Cora Pruitt, Thelma Collins, and Lillian Loyd. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 13th, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Townes Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Calvin Sacra officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Mt. View Cemetery.
