Imojean Pizzino Hopkins, age 78 of Danville, died on Monday, February 22, 2016. She had been a resident at Holiday Village, in Danville and had been in declining health for several years. She was born on November 7, 1937 in Danville to the late Frank Pizzino Sr. and Addie Bowman Pizzino. She was predeceased by 2 brothers Wesley and Frank Jr. and a daughter Teresa H. Johnson. She is survived by her children, Marvin U. Hopkins and wife, Martha, and Darlene Farmer. She has 8 grandchildren, Yavonne Pittrell, Steve Hopkins, Andrea Hyler, Justin Hopkins, Courtney Bowman, John Goad, Mailon Farmer, and Jacob Farmer. She also has 11 great-grandchildren and one great- great-grandchild. There will be a private service for the immediate family at Townes Memorial Chapel followed by a visitation for family and friends. Visitation will be held at Townes Funeral Home from 12 to 1:30pm on Friday, February 26, 2016. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Danville Cancer Association, 223 Riverview Drive, Danville, VA 24541. Townes Funeral Home and Crematory, 215 West Main Street, will be serving the Hopkins family.
