Hilda Hylton Blair January 15, 1927 – April 20, 2019 Hilda Hylton Blair, 92, of 2537 Hinesville Road, Danville VA passed away on April 20, 2019. Hilda was born January 15, 1927 in Cocoa Beach FL, daughter of Charles D Hylton Sr. and Elsie Owen Hylton. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Wade Thomas Blair Jr. Hilda was a lifetime member of Brosville United Methodist Church, where she was active in all areas of the church until her health failed. Hilda retired after 44 years of service at Stony Mill Elementary School. She is survived by two daughters, Nancye Blair Milam and husband Charles of Greensboro NC, and Belinda Blair Carper and husband Ray of Danville VA, a son, Wade Thomas Blair III and wife Penny of Danville VA; three grandchildren, Blair Milam (boyfriend, Colin Rockson), Layne Blair Cahill (Devin) and Wade Blair IV (girlfriend, Katie Shomali) and two sister-in-laws, Sylvia Hylton and Judy Hylton. Preceding her in death were her brothers Charles D. Hylton Jr., Bobby J. Hylton, Vernon L. Hylton and Gene A. Hylton; sisters Kathryne Hylton Strange, Dorothy Hylton Woodall and Dove Hylton McCall. She is also survived by numerousnieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors. The family would like to thank her caregivers and Mountain Valley Hospice & Pallative Care. Funeral service will be at Brosville United Methodist Church at 11 am on Tuesday, April 30, 2019. Following the funeral service, burial will be at the Owen Family Cemetery on Route 58, Brosville VA. Visitation will be at the home on Sunday, April 28, 2019 from 3-6 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Brosville United Methodist Church Building Fund.
