Henry A. “Hank” Pinekenstein departed this life on Monday, July 2, 2018, at Sovah Health of Danville. Hank was a hardworking man, retiring from Ball Corporation after 35 years of loyal service. He is remembered and loved by family and friends for his gentle and honest nature; his quiet, supportive presence and his private charitable activities unknown to most. He is survived by his steadfast companion of 40 years, Linda Adams (Danville); his daughter Elisabeth Anne Pinekenstein Norris and her husband Beau (Cary, NC); grandson Jacob Henry Norris; granddaughter Rylee Bennett Norris; brother Alan Pinekenstein (Deltaville, Va); brother Mark Pinekenstein and his wife Susan (California, Md) and many nephews and nieces. Hank was predeceased by his parents, William Pinekenstein and Doris Millner Pinekenstein, and brother Steve Pinekenstein. The family thanks Dr. Gary Miller and the staff at Sovah Health for their efforts and support. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Townes Funeral Home, Saturday July 7, at 2pm until 4pm. Dress is informal. A family private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, it would be a delight to Hank for you to donate to a charity close to your heart.
