Helen Hinton

July 1, 1927 — October 28, 2017

Mrs. Helen Wright Hinton, age 90, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Transitions Life Care in Raleigh, NC.                She was born in Pittsylvania County, VA on January 7, 1927, a daughter of the late Alonza Clay Wright and Minnie Gibson Wright.  Mrs. Hinton was married to the late Harvey Edgar Hinton who died June 25, 2000.  Besides her parents and her husband she was predeceased by three brothers, Ralph, Arthur and Wayne Wright.                She and her husband were charter members of Trinity United Methodist Church.  Mrs. Hinton was retired from Probation and Parole in Danville. She had lived in Zebulon, NC for the past eight years with her daughter and son-in-law.                Survivors include daughter, Pamela Hinton Trantham and her husband James.  Also surviving are granddaughter, Elizabeth Ashley Trantham and fiancé Brent Saunders and grandson, Matthew D. Trantham as well as her loving Pomeranian Max.                Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 30, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. from Trinity United Methodist Church with the Reverend Bobbie J. Henley officiating.  Interment will follow in Highland Burial Park.                The family will receive friends at Townes Funeral Home on Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 7 to 8 P.M.                Townes Funeral Home and Crematory, 215 West Main Street is serving the Hinton family.
